Have you been having a hard time losing weight?  Check out these common daily habits that might be halting your weight loss!

1 – A daily specialty coffee.  A white chocolate mocha can have 500+ calories!  If you had one of these every day, it would equal 52 lbs per year!

2 – A daily twenty-ounce bottle of soda.  Just one won’t hurt, right?  WRONG.  At 240 calories each, one twenty-ounce bottle of soda a day adds up to 25 lbs per year!

3 – A daily cocktail (or two).  With cocktails ranging from 100-500+ calories a piece, a daily cocktail or two can very easily derail your weight loss efforts.

4 – Mindless snacking.  Do you snack before or after dinner while watching TV?  Are you snacking at your desk when you aren’t hungry?  Do you know how much you are actually eating?  Many people engage in mindless snacking, which can easily prevent you from losing weight by adding excessive calories, many times much more than you’d think.

5 – Dining out.  We all seem to know that eating fast food can make weight loss very challenging, but seem to forget that the same applies when it comes to eating out in general.  Most people consume significantly more calories when dining out compared with dining at home.  Help your waistline and your wallet by eating at home or packing a lunch more often.

Quit (or minimize) these five habits and you’ll be on the road to a healthier lifestyle and a healthier weight!  If you are trying to lose weight, please consider visiting us at Olivera Weight Loss.  We use research-proven strategies, approaches and tools to help our patients achieve successful weight loss.  We offer a variety of services to meet your needs.  In our remote Nutrition Consultations, our Registered Dietitian develops a plan customized to meet your needs without you ever having to leave your home.  Phentermine, an FDA approved appetite suppressant proven to help patients lose weight, is available at Olivera Weight Loss for patients who qualify.   For more information on pricing and our other services, please visit our webpage or give us a call at 773-327-6624.  Follow us on Facebook for free weight loss tips, recipes and more.
